Denise Hartman is a high-energy, fiercely dedicated real estate agent who brings grit, charm, and a healthy dose of humor to everything she does. Real estate isn’t just her career, it’s part of her genetic code. Her mother was a trailblazer and the first woman in commercial real estate (still running her own firm today), her father was a broker and respected author (“How to Deal with Sexual Harrassment”), and her sister currently holds an executive position at JLL Capital Markets. In other words, Denise was basically born with a contract in one hand and a lockbox key in the other.

But instead of jumping straight into the family business, Denise took a detour through the world of competitive sports, global travel, and live television. A collegiate athlete on a softball scholarship at San Diego State, she played until her shoulder gave out (literally), earned a degree in Speech and Communications, and then dove into sports broadcasting. She worked alongside legends like Don Klosterman, Pete Rozelle and Rollie Fingers. She traveled the world reporting from major sporting events, and even spent time in Mexico City helping underserved children learn technology.

It was during this whirlwind phase that she met her now-ex-husband, sports radio icon Steve Hartman. They met at the All-Star Fan Fest, got engaged seven months later, and soon Denise was raising three kids under five years old while managing careers, sports schedules, and, eventually, Steve’s entire professional life, which she still does today, because loyalty doesn’t end.

Though life was full-speed ahead, Denise always knew her heart belonged in real estate just not the mafia-style version she experienced early on. She found her true calling in residential real estate, where she could combine her obsessive attention to detail, natural negotiation skills, and deeply personal approach to help clients make one of the most meaningful decisions of their lives.

She’s built her business in Westlake Village, where she’s lived for over 23 years and raised her three children. Her son Drake is a soon-to-be Los Angeles firefighter; Garrett is completing his degree in Business Economics; and Paris, who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola Marymount, is now pursuing her MBA. They are her greatest pride, loudest cheerleaders, and frequent movie-going partners because in the Hartman household, sports, snacks, and cinema are always in rotation.

Outside of work, Denise is rarely still. She hikes at least four days a week, gym workouts three times a week, photographs everything, rescues dogs when she can, and is known to whip up impressive meals without ever looking at a recipe. She loves the ocean like an old friend, reads everything from novels to political theory, and is most content when surrounded by music, laughter, and people she loves.

Clients know her for her honesty, tenacity, and fierce loyalty. She doesn’t just sell homes she protects people, fights for their best interests, and brings a lighthearted energy that makes even the most stressful moments feel manageable. Denise lives life with purpose, passion, and just the right amount of sass with humor and she brings that same fearless joy to every deal she touches.
