In a recent interview, Tara Rose, Senior Partner at Frontgate Real Estate and the first member of the Dana Olmes and Jeff Biebuyck Real Estate Group shared insights from her remarkable 19-year career in the real estate industry. With word-of-mouth and referrals being the primary source of Tara’s business, she has proven time and time again that she can navigate any transaction to the closing table with poise. Tara has learned how to do this with ease regardless of the climate of any market.
Jeff: Welcome, Tara Rose! We’re thrilled to have you share your story with our readers. Let’s start with the basics—how long have you been working in the real estate business?
Tara: Thank you! I love helping families with their largest assets and sometimes forget that it’s work. I’ve been selling real estate for 19 years now and before that ran a Real Estate school.
Dana: That’s wonderful! You’ve spent a lot of time in the community—how does that impact your work today?
Tara: I’ve lived in the community for over 40 years, spending time in Woodland Hills, Calabasas, and Agoura Hills. I’ve built strong relationships through local mommy circles and charitable community outreach, which has naturally transitioned into my real estate career. Most of my work now is referral-based all over California but I primarily focus on Agoura Hills, all of the Conejo Valley, and all of the San Fernando Valley. I truly believe that Home is where the heart is—a place to raise a family and a key to ensuring financial security for the future.
Jeff: We love getting to know our team on a personal level. Can you tell us more about your family?
Tara: Of course! I’m married to Jesse Wales, and we have two wonderful kids. Family is incredibly important to me, and here’s a photo of us all together. My oldest son has also become very passionate about Real Estate. He loves touring homes and has even picked up on the Real Estate lingo. He gets most excited when Mom comes home with a red envelope. He always yells, “Mom closed another escrow!” His little brother is following in the same footsteps.
Dana: Family is everything. Do you have any pets?
Tara: Yes, we do! We have a dog named Izzy. She has even joined us when door-knocking to advertise our open houses. Here’s a picture of her.
Jeff: Moving on to real estate—what would you say is your real estate superpower?
Tara: I listen to my clients needs, have their best interest in mind at all times & make them my top priority. I am continually educating myself & staying on top of the changing & evolving Real Estate market. Being in the industry for almost 20 years has allowed me to align myself with the best of the best in marketing, escrow, title, management, mtg brokers as well as other Realtors. If I don’t know something,I go to my incredible team & resources. I won’t stop until I get the information needed to satisfy any client. I also treat my clients assets as if they were my own.I pride myself on being a tough negotiator on all transactions with an un- biased approach and fairness.
Dana: Those are strong skill sets! Can you share three fun facts about yourself?
Tara: Absolutely!
- I was born and raised right here in the community and know the areas like the back of my hand.
- I love spending time with my two boys, and we have a blast being silly together.
- I’m a big foodie and will happily travel far and wide to try new, delicious food!
Dana: Those are great! One last question—what advice would you give to new agents?
Tara: My advice would be to follow up, keep quiet when necessary, and really listen to your clients. Treat every transaction as if it were your own home.
