Jeff: Sam, it's always a pleasure working with you. Your unique blend of technical and real estate expertise truly sets you apart. How do you think your background in electronic engineering has influenced your career in real estate?

Sam: Thanks, Jeff. My engineering background has given me a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, which are invaluable when assessing properties. Understanding the technical aspects of a property helps me provide comprehensive insights to clients, especially during negotiations and inspections.

Dana: Speaking of negotiations, Sam, your clients often praise your problem-solving skills. Can you share a challenging scenario you handled and what you learned from it?

Sam: Certainly, Dana. I recall a transaction where the buyer and seller were at an impasse over a home inspection report. By using technical data and clear communication, I managed to highlight the actual severity of the issues versus perceived ones. It was a lesson in the importance of transparency and factual clarity.

Jeff: That's impressive. Over the years, you've seen both appreciating and depreciating markets. How have you adapted your strategies to maintain success?

Sam: Flexibility and staying informed are key. In appreciating markets, my focus is on leveraging the urgency and competitive offers. In depreciating markets, it’s about finding value and negotiating terms that protect the client's investment. Each market requires a tailored approach to meet clients' needs effectively.

Dana: You’ve built a strong connection with the Calabasas and Agoura communities since 1996. How does your relationship with these communities impact your work?

Sam: Being deeply rooted in these communities allows me to offer a personal touch. I understand the local lifestyle and market nuances, which helps in providing tailored advice and building trust with clients. It also means I have a robust network, enhancing my ability to facilitate smooth transactions.

Jeff: Your extensive experience is truly remarkable. Can you tell us a bit about your journey in real estate over the past 36 years?

Sam: Certainly, Jeff. My journey began in Chatsworth with Century21. As a young agent, my relentless work ethic earned me the opportunity to sell REO properties for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. This was an incredible experience. When that chapter concluded, I relocated to the southern end of the valley to sharpen my skills for the next market. I learned early on that the market is ever-changing, and I must adapt accordingly.

Dana: That's amazing. You’ve sold more than 1,000 homes in your career. What’s your secret to achieving such success in various market conditions?

Sam: In my 36-year career, I have sold more than 1,000 homes in every type of market. The key is understanding market dynamics, staying proactive, and always prioritizing the client's best interests. My process focuses on maximizing value for my clients by using tailored strategies. Whether you are looking to buy your first home or your tenth,  an apartment building, restaurant or gas station, I can help. My approach is “what do my clients need? I can always help !”
