The weather cooperated nicely for the 2014 Hidden Hills Fiesta Parade and Country Fair on Saturday, September 20, 2014. With early overcast skies, the entries in the parade lined up near Round Meadow school. The “Kentucky Derby” theme was in full force as the golf carts lined up, Spanky the donkey practiced his famous game of “Red Light—Green Light,” the high school marching bands tuned in while the fire department, mounted sheriff, trolley, bikers, walkers, dogs and local politicians all followed suit. What a day it was.
After the parade, the country fair awaited at the community center. The day included an old fashioned bake sale, bubble rollers in the pool, Hui Hui shaved ice, In-N-Out Burger and The Fry Girl trucks, a children’s and adult art show, kids crafts and an adorable pet parade and costume contest.
In the evening, there was an arena full of rides, game booths, face painters and a balloon artist, not to mention a delicious dinner.
