Exciting Family Activities for October
Fall brings a sense of renewed energy for both kids and parents. Weekends become chances to explore seasonal traditions, enjoy autumn’s vivid hues, and delight in events that only come around once a year. From pumpkin festivals and immersive Halloween walks to family-friendly farms, there is no shortage of ways to savor the season without having to journey far from home.
Calabasas Pumpkin Festival
3701 Lost Hills Rd, Calabasas
Sunday, October 19th, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Celebrate the season at this community festival honoring the town’s “Calabaza” roots. The name is said to come from a long-ago overturned pumpkin wagon. Live music plays as families wander the pumpkin patch, sample autumn-inspired dishes, and browse booths full of local goods. Children find perfect gourds, neighbors connect, and the day becomes a fixture in the family calendar. Ticket pricing mirrors recent years with advance purchase offered at a lower cost and a modest increase for day-of attendance. Toddlers under age two typically attend free.
